Dr.B.Vijayachandra was graduated from Karnataka Medical College, Hubli in 1977. He obtained his postgraduate degree in Anatomy from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore. Dr. Vijayachandra brings to table over 35 years of accomplished experience in Teaching, Administration and Research & Development. Dr.Vijayachandra started his medical career as medical officer cum Asst Surgeon in rural areas of Karnataka and served the poor and downtrodden by his exemplary clinical skills.

His intellectual teaching skills in Preclinical subject Anatomy is remarkable and being a popular teacher, he made a significant impact in the lives of all budding medical students’ right from first year of their course. He joined Karnataka Medical College Hubli as Asst Professor in the Dept of Anatomy. His exceptional teaching and administrative skills moved him to head the Dept of Anatomy, Karnataka Medical College, Hubli.

Very much known for his erudite administration skills, Dr.Vijayachandra served as Medical Superintendent of Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital Hubli. During this tenure, he transformed the clinical practice from doctor-centric treatment to patient-centric treatment. He had also held some of the prestigious additional posts as chief administrative Officer, Director of DIMHAN’S Dharwad and Principal of Government Nursing College Hubli.
