Laparoscopy Basics Unlocked: CME and Hands-on Training on Wheels
The Department of General Surgery at Navodaya Medical College successfully organized an ‘Inaugural Ceremony’ for a CME & Workshop on Tuesday, 26th May 2026. The overarching theme of the event was “LAPAROSCOPY BASICS UNLOCKED: CME AND HANDS-ON TRAINING ON WHEELS”.
This comprehensive session was designed to provide attendees with knowledge ranging from the basic principles of laparoscopy to specific procedures like appendectomies and cholecystectomies. The practical hands-on training portion of the workshop was uniquely held in a bus called the Johnson & Johnson Institute on Wheels.
The event was held under the patronage of Chief Patron Sri. S.R. Reddy, Hon’ble Chairman of Navodaya Education Trust, and was spearheaded by Organizing Chairman Dr. Rajesh Kakkeri (Professor & Head, Dept. of General Surgery) and Organizing Co-Chairman Dr. K Ramappa (Professor, Dept. of General Surgery).
