World Breastfeeding Week 2025

In view of ‘‘WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK 2025’’ from 01st to 07th August a health awareness program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Boramma G, HOD Department of Community Medicine.

1. Health Awareness talk was given by Dr.Pratibha in co-ordination with Medical officer, Staff nurse and ASHA Workers of Rural Health training Centre where the local people were educated the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, techniques of breastfeeding and myths and misconceptions related to breastfeeding at RHTC, Singanodi on 04/08/2025 .

2. IEC activity about importance of breastfeeding, motivation to continue breastfeeding to atleast 2 years was given to the mothers at our family adopted villages (Sidrampura and Bijjanagera) on 02/08/2025 and 05/08/2025 respectively.

3.The health awareness talk regarding the same was given by Dr. Lakshmi in co ordination with Medical Officer of Ragimonagadda UHTC, ASHA workers and Anganwadi Workers on 06/08/2025.

4.Informative posters were displayed at the centres showing the techniques of breastfeeding which was followed by interactive session with the mothers.
