CME on Perioperative Management of Traumatic Brain Injury.
Traumatic Brain Injury subject the patients to life-threatening condition. It requires meticulous perioperative management, so that patients get at-most care. It is a team work including anesthesiologist, intensivist, neurophysician and neurosurgeon, which is the cornerstone of good surgical outcomes. The department of anaesthesiology and critical care, Navodaya medical college, hospital and research centre (NMCH&RC), Raichur, has organized such a skill development event at Dr NK Bhat skill lab, Navodaya Education Trust (NET) campus on Friday 21st november. As many as 50 professionals from across Karnataka participated in the scientific event. The gathering was welcomed by the organising chairman and professor and head of the department of anaesthesia Dr Ramesh Babu. He addressed the gathering and briefed the importance of the event. Dr T Srinivas, Registrar NET Raichur had graced the occasion as chief guest of the event and stressed upon need of such workshops not only for medical professionals but also to supporting staff involved in patient care. Dr B Devanand, principal, presided over the function and highlighted the need for emergency drill regarding trauma on day-today basis. The guests of honour, Dr AS Anand, vice-principal, Dr Arun Nayak, Medical superintendent NMCH, Dr.Kavita M, KMC observer were also the dignitaries on the dais. The guest faculty were Dr Krishna Rathod GIMS Kalaburagi, Dr Nagabhushan Hesarur Shivam hospital Raichur, Dr RJVV Prasad NMCH&RC Raichur, Dr Allaudin NMCH&RC Raichur, and Dr Goutam Kumar. All the directors, principals, heads of the departments, faculties and delegates were present. Vote of thanks was given by Dr.Vishwanath Meti. The CME brought together experts from multiple specialties, making it a truly multidisciplinary forum that enriched the understanding of perioperative management of traumatic brain injury with diverse clinical perspectives.
