Report: CME and Workshop on Clinical Microbiology in Critical Care
The Department of Microbiology successfully conducted a CME and Workshop on “From Bench to Bedside: Clinical Microbiology in Critical Care” on 30th May 2026.
The scientific program featured eminent speakers and experts who shared their knowledge and experience in the field of clinical microbiology and critical care:

- Dr. Amith Kulkarni, Associate Professor, SDM, Dharwad
- Dr. Pavan, Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Navodaya Medical College, Raichur
- Dr. Satish Swain, Infectious Disease Specialist, Bhubaneswar
The CME and workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from healthcare professionals, postgraduate students, and faculty members. A total of 101 delegates registered for the program.
The sessions provided valuable insights into the role of clinical microbiology in patient management, diagnostic approaches, antimicrobial stewardship, and critical care practices. The workshop component offered participants practical exposure and enhanced their understanding of current trends and challenges in clinical microbiology.
The program was accredited by the Karnataka Medical Council (KMC), and participants were awarded 2 credit points.
