Infection Control Training Programme – Session 2 Held at Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre

Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Raichur, conducted Session 2 of the Infection Control Training Programme under the aegis of the Hospital Infection Control Committee (HICC) on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at Guru Murthy Hall.
The one-hour training session focused on “Biomedical Waste Management – Segregation, Collection, Transfer and Storage,” with emphasis on safe biomedical waste handling, proper segregation practices, and adherence to hospital infection control protocols.
The programme was attended by Postgraduate students, MBBS interns, nursing staff and supervisors, OT personnel, nursing students, and housekeeping staff and supervisors. The session aimed to strengthen awareness and ensure consistent implementation of biomedical waste management practices across the hospital.
The training was conducted by:

- Mrs. Nethravathi, Deputy Nursing Superintendent (DNS)
- Mr. Hari Prasad, Assistant Nursing Superintendent (ANS)
